Frequently asked questions
Which periods and areas does the history of art cover?
Your tutors guide you through the entire development of art — from prehistory and antiquity, through Byzantine and medieval art (with a special focus on Serbian medieval art — Studenica, Sopoćani, Visoki Dečani), the Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Modernism, and contemporary art. The plan is tailored to the high school curriculum, university entrance exams for the Faculty of Philology and Arts (FLU/FPU/Filozofski) or specific areas of study.
Do you help with entrance exams for Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy?
Yes. Tutors prepare candidates for art history entrance exams — written tests on knowledge of works and authors, essays, analysis of specific paintings and monuments. The plan includes systematic study of epochs and key works from the literature required by the department.
Can you help with the final year project (mala matura) in Art History?
Yes. Tutors help with choosing a topic, selecting sources, structuring the work and analysing specific pieces. Topics are most often chosen from Serbian medieval art, the European Renaissance or modern and contemporary art.
What does an online art history lesson look like?
Lessons are held via the EasyPass virtual classroom — the professor shares their screen with high-quality images, church plans, maps, and presentations, while the discussion takes place live. The whiteboard is used for timelines and schemes of stylistic connections. A recording of the lesson remains available for later review.
How much does private art history tuition cost?
Prices range from around 1,200 to 2,500 RSD per hour — secondary school level in the lower range, university level and exam preparation (mala matura, državna matura) in the higher range. You can see the exact price on each tutor's profile.
