Do you feel like you always lack the words to express yourself and understand everything you read and hear in English? Your English sounds great in your head, but when you start speaking, you realise it's not quite the same? Do you dread emails you receive in English and worry if Google Translate is right when it helps you? Do you want to finally find a new job but are unsure about your English and often avoid situations where you need to speak English? I am Danka, and for 15 years I have been helping children and adults to speak English as if it were their native language. I gained my extensive experience through working at a private university where I taught business English and general courses for 12 years. Additionally, for the past three years, I have been working at an international school in Belgrade, where I successfully prepare students for the IGCSE exam and work according to the Cambridge programme. Working with students from different countries, who have various challenges in learning the language, has given me valuable experience and constant motivation to improve, explore new methods and approaches, and find what best suits each individual I work with. I also ran my own language school for two years, where I exclusively taught adults and held conversational, business, and general English courses. This experience allowed me to better understand the needs of employed students. I know how to help them best and teach them to express themselves clearly and gain confidence in communication. My goal is for each lesson to be tailored to the student's needs and to take place in a relaxed atmosphere where mistakes are welcome as they are part of the learning process. The focus is always on communication and conversation, and I choose materials in line with the participants' interests so that learning is engaging and effective. My students' success truly makes me happy. Since 2016, I have been conducting online lessons and believe they are particularly effective for developing conversational skills – often even more so than in-person teaching. Besides English, I love British indie pop and rock, Scotland, concerts, English writers, and my favourite hobby is cycling. I offer courses in: • general English • conversational English • business English For general courses, I use the textbook New English File, and for the conversational course, materials focused on vocabulary development, with interesting content, videos, and plenty of ideas for conversation.
